  • This is one of the comfortable position through which instant and utmost relief could be provided to your leg cramps.
  • Moreover, this posture could be practiced after having meals as well. For this position, one has to sit down bending knees and soles of the leg pointing outwards.
  • One must also ensure both the legs are together and hands are resting on respective thighs. Also, head and back has to be erect and straight.
  • One should sit in this position for some time and try to relax by breathing normally. This improves blood circulation in legs and reduces muscle cramps.

  • This posture not only provides relief to leg cramps but also has a soothing effect on every part of the body.
  • For practicing this exercise one has to lie on his back and slowly uplift both the legs together. One must lift the body upwards till the weight of the lower body is placed entirely on shoulder, head and neck.
  • Rest in this position for sometime and get back to the sleeping position slowly without any jerking. This exercise increase blood supply in heart by easing tension on legs.

Through ages, it has been seen that yoga helps in curing chronic arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and carpal tunnel syndrome, all of which cause intense pain in the legs along with other areas of the body.

Therefore, yoga exercises are finding increasing acceptance. The effect of one session of yoga is believed to be equal to half an hour’s treatment with hot and cold compresses and the chances of the pain recurring in the legs are also less.
